Off to a great year!

We had a great cell meeting last week! Although there were only a few of us, we had a fun time relaxing at my place and discussing our feelings about cell last year. Generally, we all felt that our bonds as cell members were tightened even more, and that the cell had managed to survive and grow despite the many disruptive transitions. Some of us also felt that cell members had shown love and care to each other; that has helped us to take ownership and actively participate in the cell.

To start off the new year, our vision as a cell is to form closer relationships with each other and to multiply by the end of the year. I believe that love and trust will enable us to achieve our goals and to do so many things for Christ! Truly, as a member remarked, we are all like parts of the body of Christ, each playing our own role.

I am not the head of the cell - Christ is. This cell belongs to each and everyone of YOU! You are the cell and you make things happen. Remember that in all that you do, let the love of Christ compel you, as it compelled the Apostle Paul to spread the gospel.

We also want to go on our own cell retreat! :D Can't wait! Maybe we can go on a trip to Penang or PD...somewhere with a beach where we can tan ourselves and look gorgeous. HAHAHAHA.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, cellies! Last year was a great year for our cell! I could see that our cell really grew not only in terms of numbers but also in terms of spiritual growth. For one thing, I was pleasantly surprised by the lot of you who turned up for watchnite service - John-Aidan, Abigail, Ivan, John Chong, Jin, Cathy, and Jen-Sen!

Last year, not only was there a change in members and leadership, the cell home even changed too! For me, it was my first time leading a cell group when I took over the leadership sometime July last year. It has been extremely challenging, yet also truly rewarding to be God's servant. I want to thank each of you for working with me and being really great cell members! It is an honor serving all of you.

I only pray that our cell will experience even greater spiritual and numerical growth this year - the Year of Positioning in church. That can only come to pass when we work together and pray for God to move in our cell. It's not gonna be easy - but as long as God is with us, there's absolutely nothing to worry about. ;-)

From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. (Ephesians 4:16)

Here's to us and the new year! *cheers*
