Cell Conference 2008

Some of us attended the Cell Conference that was held last Friday till Saturday - namely me, John-Aidan, Jen-Sen, Jin, Stephanie, and Ivan. Nothing really new was taught in the Conference. After all, how many times have pastors exhorted us to go out there and share the Good News? Countless times, really...how many more times do we need to hear such messages before we actually do it? This Cell Conference was a wake-up call to the Church - regain our passion for lost souls and just go out there and open our mouths! The Lord has given us ALL power to be witnesses to non-Christians.

Acts 1:8 declares "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

We do not need to be afraid that rejection will come. Of course rejection will come! But it doesn't matter. When we face ridicule or indifference, it is not us who are being rejected; it is God whom they reject. Let's start to concentrate all our mind, heart and soul on saving the souls of two people. When they have accepted the Lord, then we can focus our efforts on discipling them so that they in turn will reach out and share the gospel with other people. This is not impossible. Take it from me. ;-)
